Chemical Peels

Revitalize your skin by addressing fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, sun damage, and melasma with our skin resurfacing procedure. Chemical peels effectively remove the top layers of the skin, allowing smoother skin to emerge. Choose from various strengths and depths of peels—light, medium, or deep—to suit your needs. While deeper peels offer more dramatic results, they require longer downtime. Multiple treatments may be necessary depending on your skin condition. Experience the transformation and reveal a radiant complexion!

Treatment Guide

  • Sun exposure and/or usage of a tanning bed, including self-tanning products, must be avoided for a minimum of 24 hours before and after the treatment, preferably 1 week. Treatment within 24 hours of prolonged sun exposure (natural sunlight, artificial tanning booth, or sunless tanning products) may result in hypopigmentation (white spots) or hyperpigmentation (dark spots) that may not clear for several months or may even be permanent. Treatment will not be administered on sunburned skin.

Area to be treated must be clean and free of any lotion, makeup, and sunscreen. Face must be clean for appointment.

Retin-A, Renova, and Tazorac must not be used for 1 week prior to or after treatment.

Waxing and/or using chemical depilatory products must be avoided for 2 weeks before and after the treatment. Shaving is allowed immediately before treatment and 48-72 hours after treatment as long as no skin irritation occurs.

  • Please be aware that downtime may vary depending on the strength and type of chemical peel used.

Day 1: Apply healing balm provided 2-3 times daily as needed for tightness, dryness, or burning. Wash gently with cool water and pat dry. Avoid applying anything other than ointment. Your skin may appear sunburned, feel tight, and experience itching or mild burning. Use ointment, Tylenol, or Benadryl as needed. Avoid makeup and glasses pressure on the nose.

Day 2: Skin will feel tight with dehydration, resembling an uneven tan/sunburn. Flaking may begin, starting around the eyes, mouth, and nose. Rinse with water only, then apply Vaseline. Do not peel skin; apply 1% Hydrocortisone gel or cream.

Day 3: Skin will flake, peel, and feel tight. Do not force peeling or peel prematurely to prevent scarring. Use manicure scissors if necessary. Avoid social plans and use a gentle cleanser. Apply 1% Hydrocortisone morning and night.

Day 4-8: Peeling continues, varying in progress across areas. Maintain gentle cleansing and Vaseline hydration. Expect tender skin.

Day 14: Resume tweezing or waxing, and skincare with glycolic, salicylic, Vitamin C, and retinol. Skin may remain pink for another week.

  • Avoid picking or exfoliating the treated area; let old skin flake off naturally.

Stay out of direct sunlight for at least a week after treatment. If you expect sun exposure, shield treated areas with a hat and SPF 30+ sunscreen. Avoid exfoliating products like retinol and retin-A for a week after skin returns to normal. Refrain from sweating-inducing exercise until skin heals. Steer clear of excessive heat, like jacuzzis and saunas, until skin heals. Wait 24 hours before applying makeup after the procedure.

  • We recommend a series of treatments for best results and efficacy. You may notice immediate as well as longer-term improvements in your skin.
